Meghan Klingenberg is a defender for the Portland Thorns and a member of the U.S. Women's National Team. Klingenberg won the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup with Team USA and was named to the FIFA All-Star team for her play during the tournament.  Klingenberg also won a NWSL championship in 2017 with the Portland Thorns.

Klingenberg has found success in her business interests off the field as well. She’s an early-stage investor in several startups. Klingenberg was also instrumental in helping the U.S. Women’s National Team Players Association (USWNTPA) develop licensing and sponsorship opportunities. Her teammates recognized Klingenberg’s efforts in collectively growing their business and elected her as the Athlete Advisory Board representative for REP Worldwide, the group licensing representation business formed by the NFLPA that is helping the USWNTPA build a player licensing business.

After starting at UNC Chapel Hill for four years, Klingenberg was selected by magicJack in the first round of the women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) draft and has since played for six professional teams including two years with the Swedish club, Tyresö FF. Klingenberg has been on the U.S. national team since 2004 (U-16, U-17, U-19, U-23).

Klingenberg gives back to her community by mentoring female soccer players through the Meghan Klingenberg Foundation and developing the next set of soccer stars through Meghan Klingenberg Soccer Camps. More info can be found on meghanklingenberg.com.
